Lion Preet Kanwal Singh

MJF Lion Preet Kanwal Singh, 2nd Vice District Governor was born at Kharar (Punjab) on 1st September 1967 in a highly respectable educated & well-settled landlord family. He completed his schooling from reputed Punjab Public School, Nabha. After completing his graduation from Arya College, Ludhiana, He did his LL.B from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and started his practice at Civil Courts in 1994. Now he is also running his own business along with farming.

He is happily married to Lion Satvinder Kaur, a teacher by profession, a dedicated Lion as well and Charter President of Lions Club Kharar Umang, in 1994. The couple was blessed with a sweet daughter Pahul Preet Kaur & a charming son Anant Kanwal Singh.

He joined Lionism in January 1999 as a Charter member of Lions Club Kharar in District 321-F. He become club President of Lions Club Kharar in 2001-02 and served this great District 321-F as a Region Secretary in 2002-03, District Chairperson – Lions Quest in 2003-04, Region Chairperson in 2006-07 and was nominated to the high profile post of District Chairperson – Extension in 2008-09, new 24 clubs were formed in this year. Throughout his Lionistic career, he has been in the Board of Directors of the club. He got his membership transferred to Lions Club Kharar Umang in 2004.

In his short span of his Lionistic career, he is 34 times blood donor till date, he & his spouse both have donated their eyes, full body for the benefit of the humanity. For the organization in 2006, he donated $1000 to Lions Club International Foundation to become Melvin Jones Fellow. He being wonderful organiser and administrator, arranged GENERATION NEXT 2004 -District Level Seminar on Lions Quest (First time organized in the District 321-F at Kharar), LAKSHYA 2007 well planned Region Conference at Kharar, RAINBOW 2009 well organized seven in one District Seminars (First time organized such topics at Kharar) & Global Vision 2009 (Maximum attended MERLOW Seminar held at Ludhiana). Lion Preet Kanwal was appointed Guiding Lion of 2 new clubs. He was decorated with several awards of District, Multiple & International level, apart from District & Multiple’s best Secretary, President, Region Secretary, Committee Chairperson & Region Chairperson, he has also been decorated with International Presidents Bronzes Certificate for sponsorship, number of International President’ Certificate of Appreciation and International President’s Extension Award.

Lion Preet Kanwal is multi-faceted person with significant presence in several fields of social activities. Being Management Director of MMS Institute, Tulip-The Part Hall, Adam & Eve Fitness Gym and practicing as Lawyer, he has been able to devote time to Lionism and other NGOs like District Secretary - All India Human Rights Watch District Mohali, Chairman – Youth Welfare Club (Regd.) Mundi, Kharar, Founder President – Sikh Culture Welfare Club Kharar, General Secretary – Shaheed Bhagat Singh Blood Donors society (Regd.) Kharar, Finance secretary – Sahibzada Lok Sewa Trust (Regd.) S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali, Member – Citizen welfare Club (Regd.) Kharar in the most significant manner, Ex – Senior Vice President – Municipal Council Kharar.

With whole hearted support from Lions of District 321-F, he is marching towards writing a new history by giving District a clean and open administration. He is targeting for hi-tech district with better relationship between Lions.
