Handsome, Jovial, Smart. The most appropriate description for a person who has not only dreamt to bring changes in the functioning of whichever field he entered, he has translated his dreams to reality. Hardworking to the core, he achieved distinction in the discipline of engineering, bringing laurels to his institution in the year 1976 A.D. Born in the pious city of Hari Mandir Sahib, he has the traits of purity in thoughts & deeds. His first step towards settling down in life was joining as Sales Manager in a company. For a decade, he ascended in his career by gaining experience in several multi national companies. In the year 1986, he entered into the business of industrial items. Since then he has never looked back. He expanded his business in a unique manner. The concept of utilizing solar energy was nascent in the area. But he introduced the eco-friendly solar products, which not only save money but the electricity as well. He has set targets in life. Besides being successful in his business, he has involved himself in the social activities. Having joined lionism in the year 1990 is the best example.

He proved to be a source of inspiration to all who have come in contact with him., Observing his capabilities, he was elevated as Treasurer in the very next year of his joining the most prestigious organization in the world. His working was par excellence, so he was elevated to the post of Club Secretary before holding the coveted post of President in the succeeding year. His potential was recognized at District Level. He did justice to the posts of Zone Chairman, Region Chairman, District Chairman, LCIF, District Chairman Lions Information and Public Relation. His tenure as Region Chairman is still being quoted as an example. The Membership Seminar organized by him was not only well attended, but there was sumptuous educative material. His Region Conference was a tremendous success. He had motivated each individual Lion of the District. There was maximum record-breaking attendance in his region conference. His role as DDCS I/ C MM Reports was memorable, as he remained unbiased and adhered to the contest rules. Everyone praised him for his impartial role. There after, he held post of District Chairman Membership, a feather in his cap. He was holding the post at Multiple Level as Multiple P.R.O. for Multiple 321, before being elected as Vice District Governor in April 2006; he had held the post of District PRO.

The mystery is unveiled. The person about whom the resume is recorded is MJF Lion H.J.S. Khera (Handsome, Jovial and Amart) Lion Khera bagged numerous awards and honours at Club, District, Multiple and International level. The list, if detailed will fill pages. To mention a few for record, he got 100% President Award, 5 Club Extension Awards, 3 Guiding Lion Awards, 25 Membership Senior Mater Key awards and a large number of Appreciation Awards. In another field, he won the Udyog Rattan Award. He is a very active member of Ludhiana Management Association.

His resume will not be complete if it is not mentioned that he is happily married to a very charming lady, Lion Kuljit Kaur Khera. She too is very active Lion and participates in social activities. Lion Khera’s children are also active in social activities. His elder daughter is married and settled at Amritsar. Younger daughter is has graduated in engineering college. They are close knitted family and the duo is those rare types who are made for each other.
