Installation Ceremony

Installing Officer : My function today is to install the officers of this club for the coming fiscal year. Lion Secretary, have the officers to be installed been properly elected to their respective officer? (The secretary attests the election). It is not my intention to instruct them in detail in their various duties. Their names will be filled in the officer of Lions International, from which they will receive information and suggestion for carrying out their various duties. I know they can be depended upon to read and study this informative material carefully and to execute their duties faithfully.

Induction Ceremony - Obligation Ceremony for Induction of a new Member.

Inducting Officer: It is my duty as desired by the President of the Lions Club... which you are about to join, to perform this ceremony and to trust you to carry out the obligation you are taking on being a member of this great Club.

Having satisfied yourself about the status, and standing of the Lions Clubs International, to which the Lions Club... is affiliated, are you prepared to take on the obligations of being of service to the community, Your country and humanity?

Answer: Yes I am,

Inducting Officer: As translation of your solemn obligation to this effect do you promise to do your best to attend all meetings regularly, to support and further the interest of the Club in all its undertakings and activities, to serve on the committees where your efforts are needed, and finally, to practice in thought, word and action the code of Ethics and the Objects of Lions Club International, Fellowship and service to humanity.

Answer: I will do my best to be worthy of becoming a member of Lions Clubs International and will carry out the obligations. I am taking an oath today to mend myself in fellowship of Lions and in the service of Humanity.
