Lion Dr. Inderpal Singh Chopra

Lion Dr. Inderpal Singh Chopra, Distt Cabinet Secretary 2009-10 born on 19,04.1950 & brought up at Mandi Gobindgarh in a highly educated & respected family of the town, migrated from Rawalpindi (Pakistan) in 1947. His father Dr. Harnam Singh Chopra L.S.M.F. was a well-known medical practitioner of the area till 1974, when he expired.

Lion Dr. Chopra after schooling did graduation from Punjab University. He is 1977 MBBS pass out. He shifted from Delhi 1n 1979 & started medical practice as general practitioner.

He got married to Lionade Indira Chopra in 1978, who is M.A. English from Delhi University & is blessed with a daughter Gugush, who is Post graduate in business management with immigration law from U.K. & younger son Aman Preet Singh is also MBA gold Medallist & is working as head HRI Services with Citi Bank at Chandigarh. Children live at Chandigarh, while Mrs & Dr. Chopra live at Mandi Gobindgarh. Lion Dr. Chopra is a regular Blood Donor & donated blood 29 times.

Lion Dr. Chopra joined Lionism in October 1979. Since then he is an active Lion and achieved 100% attendance awards regularly several times. He has served Lionism all most at the posts at club level. He remained Secretary several times & served as President twice , once during 91-92 of Lions Club Mandi Gobindgarh & second time during 2005-06 of Lions Club Mandi Gobindgarh Supreme & Zone Chairperson in 2008-09.

He has several awards to his credit, such as 2nd Best PRO, Best Club Bulletin Editor, Distt. Governors Special Appreciation Award, Best Secretary Award of the Distt 321-D.

He is member of Khatri Sabha & Honorary Secretary of Mandi Gymkhana Club Ltd., Mandi Gobindgarh since 1994. He has special interest in collecting Antiques & Coins.
